WAS/The Whigs split Vinyl

I received the We Are Scientists/The Whigs split 7″ Vinyl today. Really well designed covers and a piece I don’t really know much about. From some emailing, I think that it is a promotional (probably US only) vinyl sent out to selected independent record stores for either staff or as giveaways. If anyone has any more information, please let me know!
